What is the difference between Aware and Panic?

Aware is movement or presence near the parked car. Panic is the stronger alarm. Choose which send a push in Settings → Alerts → Alert delivery.

Where do I review footage?

Open the alert in Spectivox, then use Open Tesla app to review any footage Tesla has available. Spectivox does not receive or play dashcam video, and it cannot guarantee that a clip remains available.

Where is alert history?

Home shows a Last 24h hour density strip. Each cell is a clock hour (9–10, 10–11, and so on), so alerts in the same hour share one bar. The eye title is Quiet, Aware, or Panic from the newest alert in that window. Drag across the strip to inspect an hour. The total alert count sits between 24h ago and now. Hours with more than one alert show a tiny count above that bar. Tap the strip or Activity to open the log, grouped by day. Clear history is under Settings → Alerts → History.

Why does Home briefly show Sentry Off after I park?

Home shows the latest status from the car. Right after parking it can still be settling, so Off or unknown for a moment is normal.

Why does it say Off while I’m driving?

Accepted Answer

Sentry only watches when the car is parked. While you drive, Tesla reports Off. That is expected, not a Spectivox failure.

What does Last car signal mean?

Accepted Answer

When Spectivox last heard a Sentry update from the car (relative time). A parked Armed car can stay quiet for hours without a new update, so the time can look old while status still says Armed. Pull to refresh updates what Spectivox already has.

What are quiet hours?

Accepted Answer

Settings → Alerts → Quiet hours can pause Aware for a daily window on this iPhone (default 23:00–07:00). Panic still notifies when Panic delivery is on.

Does Spectivox work when the app is closed?

Yes. Alerts are push notifications. The car still needs signal so telemetry can reach Spectivox.

Not in this version. When Sentry alerts is planned for a later Pro release and is not shown until it can actually be used.

Can I try Spectivox without a Tesla?

On the first Welcome card, tap Explore our demo. That opens Home, Activity, and Settings with demo alerts. Tap Leave demo on any screen to return to Tesla setup. Push and live alert delivery settings stay off so they cannot change a live Tesla setup. The demo does not send anything to Tesla or Spectivox servers.

Do I need Premium Connectivity?

No. Standard Connectivity is enough when the car has signal.

What is the virtual key for?

On most Teslas, approve access once so Spectivox can listen for Sentry. Planned schedules and automatic actions would use the same authorization if they become available. Older Intel Model S/X use a data streaming setting on the car’s touchscreen instead.

Which vehicles does Spectivox support?

Accepted Answer

Model 3, Y, Cybertruck, and most S/X with Sentry and Fleet Telemetry (firmware 2024.26+). Pre-2021 Intel S/X need 2025.20+ and Allow Third-Party App Data Streaming. Very old MCU1 cars are not supported.

I have more than one Tesla. Can I use Spectivox?

Yes. Spectivox watches one car at a time. If your Tesla account has several cars, pick which one during setup. Watching several cars at once is a planned Pro feature.

Which regions does Spectivox support?

Build 22 is available in 38 selected App Store storefronts in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and supports Tesla accounts served by Tesla’s EMEA Fleet API endpoint. Accounts routed to Tesla’s North America / Asia-Pacific or China regions are not supported by this build.

Do I need a Spectivox account?

No. Connect Tesla in the app. Tokens stay in Keychain, and Spectivox keeps an encrypted refresh token on its alert server while your car is connected so push can work while the app is closed. Planned schedules and automatic actions are locked and not purchasable in build 22.
