Accessibility Statement

Last updated: August 14, 2026

Spectivox is an iPhone app for Tesla Sentry alerts. This page is the formal policy. For a friendly product tour, head home.

Our commitment

Spectivox is a utility app for receiving Sentry Mode push alerts from your Tesla. We want it to be usable by as many people as practical, including people who rely on assistive technologies.

This page describes what we support today, known limitations, and how to request help. It is not legal advice and does not certify compliance with any specific law or standard.

Standards we work toward

For the Spectivox iPhone app, we follow Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and aim to support VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and system settings such as Reduce Motion and Increase Contrast where the app allows.

For this website, we aim for clear structure, keyboard focus, readable contrast, touch targets that are comfortable on mobile, and a skip link to main content.

App — supported today

  • VoiceOver labels on welcome setup steps, Home activity strip, Activity timeline rows, and primary Settings actions
  • Dynamic Type via system text styles in the app UI
  • Light, dark, and system appearance, plus optional accent palettes in the iPhone app
  • Push notifications with vehicle-name titles and short Aware/Panic bodies (optional time)
  • Footage review happens on the Tesla center screen, which has its own accessibility controls

App — known limitations

  • We have not completed a full third-party accessibility audit
  • Some secondary controls may have incomplete VoiceOver hints
  • Alerts depend on car connectivity and notification permission
  • Tesla sign-in and virtual key pairing use the system browser; Tesla controls accessibility in those flows
  • The app is English-only at launch

Website — supported today

  • English page language
  • Skip link to main content
  • Clear page structure with labeled navigation
  • Visible focus styles on interactive controls
  • Responsive layout with safe-area support on notched devices
  • Reduced-motion support for marketing header, homepage, and contact animations

Website — known limitations

  • Marketing phone mockups are decorative and do not show live app data
  • We have not published a formal third-party accessibility audit report
  • Legal pages are English only

Feedback and remediation

If you have trouble using Spectivox or this site with assistive technology, tell us what you were trying to do, your device and iOS version (for the app), browser (for the site), and the assistive technology you use.

We will try to address reported barriers in reasonable future updates. We cannot guarantee a specific fix timeline.
